Let’s play a game of pretend where I understand deadlines.

I present to you: Able-Bodied Soldier 4 (BETA Edition)! You have the chance to read this once-edited manuscript along with Variant Publication’s usual beta readers, but only for a limited time.

How limited? Well… the link should outlive the average houseplant under my care, but if you’re demanding I be technical—roughly 96 hours.

But that’s only to give feedback! You should still be able to read it after the fact, we’ll just ignore whatever you have to say as the manuscript spends its days in that Cloud-based retirement home we called Google Docs. Never deleted, nor further needed.

This time, J.N. Chaney was the lead writer, working from an outline we cobbled together like mismatched socks. I then swooped in with my limited military knowledge to ensure characters aren't saluting while naked or calling sergeants "my good sir."

Usually, I have more time to work on these manuscripts, but this series came in hot, which afforded me about as much time as a snowman has in Death Valley. So, if you've ever worn a uniform that wasn't for Halloween or fast food, your feedback would be especially helpful!
